Since I am a NY slice kind of guy I always deduct a full point for a Chicago pizza. Meaning the best a Chicago pizza can be is a 9.0. HOWEVER, Pequods is the best Chicago pizza around. The crust has a great crunch, the sauce is robust and flavorful and the toppings (if you choose to get any) are all fresh and tasty. Also, the scene at Pequods is cool no matter what time of day and what time or year you visit. I know Lou Malnati's, Giodanos and Geno's East are the big hitters in Chicago but Pequods is a classic case of 'if you know you know' kind of place. Highly recommend hitting it up if you are visiting Chicago's Northside, especially after a day at Wrigley.

I’m a NY style guy, but Pequod’s is the best Chicago style pizza of them all. The caramelized crust is intentional, and that makes it 1A. 1B is Lou Malnatis.

WHERE IS THE CHEESE AND THAT FAMOUS PEQUOD’s Carmel Cheese crust? As a life long fan… this place is going down hill. For 20 years we have held Peqouds as Chicagos Best. Sadly, the king has lost his crown! The actual dough is still tasty, sauce is good, but they have decided to cheap out on cheese. Not just us, every table had pulls with 1-2 thin strings of cheese, if at all. #Shrinkflation

Great deep dish. I've wanted to try this for a long time and it didn't disappoint. Heavier than most deep dish pizzas. Great crust. Got the thin too and it was good but nothing special. A little undercooked.

Seems like a mix of Chicago and Detroit Sytle. Cheese was a little too burnt around the edges for me and I perfer the roni more crispy. Overall a good pie.
