Eye test- iffy seems undercooked Execution- totally fine, decent crisp, bottom cooked to perfection and excellent ratio Cheese- not a fan. Taste is just not good. Can’t put my finger on why, it’s just unusual. I’m not saying gross, it’s just not my cup of tea Sauce- chunky and a bit sweet. Again, it’s off. I love sweet sauce but this doesn’t do it for me. Crust fine crunch but tasteless. The parts that are cooked harder have a burnt taste Too bad because it’s not necessarily a bad pie. It’s just that the individual ingredients simply don’t cut it. Place is crowded but my suggestion is try a steak. Bono said, “We connected from the heart.” This pizza connects with nothing. Barely average. Sauce is particularly bad. Avoid this.

Not in the same category as the elite Trenton tomato pies but still pretty good. I liked the flavor and the crust had a nice crisp. The undercarriage wasn’t as crispy as I would like. Pete’s has a nice bar atmosphere which definitely adds to the experience of eating there.

Don’t let the name of the establishment fool you—Pete’s Steakhouse makes a phenomenal tomato pie and the quality is consistently great, unlike some of the more lauded places in the area. It’s extremely light, the tomatoes are sweet (and not chunky) and the cheese doesn’t overwhelm—it’s in the 9s for a reason. The bar pie (pictured) is a perfect serving for one and my go-to.
