Pizza Review
I’m a pizza snob!!! I’ve had pizza from Chicago, New York, Minnesota, and several other states...here in California I’ve tried pizza up and down both ends, and I gotta say Petrillis is my favorite pizza of all time next to Dave’s in Virginia MN. The toppings are the best. They have the curly pepperoni which crisps right up and adds even more to the fresh mozzarella...the sauce has the right amount of tang and sweet. The only complaint is the crust. Don’t get me wrong it’s delicious. It can be inconsistent at times. It’s best if it baked well, so it’s not doughy. It’s on the thick and firm side. It’s pretty crisp. They cut their pizza in squares, not the traditional triangle slices. They have a pizza Blanca, which is super traditional with the moz, basil, evvo, tomatoes that’s also amazing. Their pies are always piping hot, cheese is salty and gooey. You can take a slice and hold it sideways and the topping don’t go sliding out. The owners are nice and personable. They remember their customers. Every pie is made fresh and too order. They been around for 10+ years but their recipes have been around since the 50’s as they were part of another pizzeria that’s in Glendora...sadly the Glendora location has let itself go down hill, but this location has stood true to its roots...try it!!! You’ll be a repeat customer -
