Alright Frankie we are at PI CO (pizza review time MAY 13th 2:30pm)... Been meaning to come here for a while but it’s an incredibly hard spot to pull over to on the corner of Danforth and Broadview in Toronto — Their claim is a totally, fresh innovative take on pizza ... and that’ It’s not fast food nor fine dining-> It’s everything in between.
Their motto is ... Fast meets fresh. Pizza places in the city were the same old, same old- either quick & dirty pizza chains or fine-dining hot spots. But who said there couldn't be something in between? In 2016, they created just that —> A place where authentic, custom-crafted Neapolitan pizza could be fired up in 90 seconds, and enjoyed without a reservation, white tablecloth or 20% gratuity... and A place where 'quick & easy' could actually mean fresh, healthy and high-quality And a place that turns something you've eaten a million times, into a completely fresh, new experience... and they hope that saying "Let's have pizza" will never mean the same thing again.... one bite everyone knows the rules .... Sauce is seriously sweet ( some would call the sauce runny Frankie - We wouldn’t - some would - We wouldn’t)... pizza has no flop which is great for a Neapolitan... undercarriage has mild char but the crust has a doughy Center but an outer crisp .... 1 to 10 / one bite / everyone knows the rules / bite it / score it -> 1 thru 10 -> did we mention that this place cooks the pie in under two minutes and it comes out really nice with those perfect dough bubbles we rave about ~> all wrapped into one ! 6.7 (professional score) PI CO! It’s better than PIZZA STUDIO not as good as ZA PIZZA ... these are their main quick baked pie competition... though GOOD FELLAS is not a 2 minute pie but it’s comparable to this PI CO’s pizza in taste but GOOD FELLAS is slightly better ... so in a world where an 8 out of 10 is a 10! And GOOD FELLAS is a 6.8.... then PI CO is a 6.7-> that’s a review
