Pizza review time here (Pie12 Napoletana Coal Fired Pizzeria) about 2 mile from Indian Rocks Beach here on the Florida West Coast. 1. This is my 4th review in a month with coal/woodfire oven pizza. Not my go-to style but I can appreciate a good tasting well made pie. 2. Owner is from NY. They say they only use the freshest ingredients. 3. I came not because of a recommendation, but because they have extremely high scores on the one bite pizza app. 4. My rating is 8.2 ( slighly higher then my 8.1 I gave Anthony's Coal Fire Pizza)

One Bite, everyone knows the rules. This is a beautiful shop with an amazing oven. I always have high hopes when they have Peroni. Thsi pizza comes out looking phenomenal. Nice char and a great undercarriage. No real flop to speak of and the flavors are on point. The cheese is silky and the crust is so perfectly crispy. Favorite so far in Pinellas.

Pie 12 is worth the drive and not to be missed in the Tampa Bay Area no matter where you are coming from. The power behind it all is owner Rehan driving a Coal-fired oven a creating amazing pies at low prices for legit pizza Napoletana. We started out with the baseline Margherita which was perfectly prepared. Crust had a good crisp outside with a good chew, not too salty and a nice char. Next, the Diavola, fresh Soppresata and pepper flakes gave it a nice kick. The base was perfect again for the Gustosa with a very tasty blend of sausage sans fennel no need to hide the flavor here) and roasted red pepper. Topped it off with a white pie, the Quattro Fromagi. This is a “don’t miss” stop and a great value. 4 pies and drinks for $68! Once you try it, it will be your go to stop in the Bay area!

Crust was a little thick on one pie. Cheese and EVOO was on point. Could have used more basil. One of the best pies I’ve found in the area.
