Piece Pizzeria and Brewery

Pretty decent pizza, has New Haven vibes, but still too cheesy overall. Its a cousin of Modern given the cheese, just lacking some of the finer details.

Definitely on the flop side with a bit of a crunch toward the crust. I did enjoy the spicy sausage, but the grease in the middle made it impossible to eat and drive. Solid 7.2

Visiting my sister in Chicago for the first time so we gotta try the local pizza place. My brother in law said this was in his top 5 so I was hyped to try it. This pizza was definitely a pretty good New Haven style. I feel like it could’ve used some more sauce on it. The first couple bites would be delicious and then it would get drastically drier the more you ate on the slice. That’s pretty much my only complaint, but eating a dry pizza isn’t fun. I’ve eaten a lot of pizzas on this app, but my brother thought this was some of the best pizza he’s ever had if that’s any constellation.

Good pie. Not cheese. Undercariage is great. Crispy. Solid sausage. Good pep. Crust is fire. Overall good - i dig.

Good sauce but way too much flop for their large size if they’re calling it a New Haven style

Great pepperoni and crust. A lot of flop and a little greasy…but overall really good.

Doug’s Atomic Sausage. Not as hot as the name sounds. Doesn’t mean it wasn’t one of the best sausage pizzas I’ve ever had.

Kind of a tavern/New Haven hybrid. Loved the crust which blue chewy and a little bit crunchy. Has a good amount of cheese as well. Great neighborhood pie!

Looked forward to the dough/crust but it was tough and chewy, borderline stale. May be due to the before close take out order but overall not that great. Cheese/sauce was solid, bit greasy.

I already ate the pizza so there’s no picture anymore but this is a great option for those who need a change from Chicago style pizza. Ate like 6 pieces and didn’t feel bad about myself because the crust is thin.

Mine was def overcooked. Shame, bc I remember likening this way better back in the day. I’m pretty sure they use different ovens for takeout vs dine in. So maybe that’s the reason why. Alas…

I was expecting great pizza. It was below average. I don’t think I’m ever going back.
