First reviewer here, but I absolutely love pizza.
Upon looking over the menu, I was pulled towards the street taco pizza since I'm a spice fanatic, but also wanted a taste of original (margherita) so I unfortunately ordered a 50/50 pizza.
Due to their rules, you have the order a large pizza ($28) to order the 50/50, but at the moment, I felt like it was worth it.
When pizza came out, it looked and smelled great.
Margherita:
Large flop, great sauce flavor, crust had solid crunch, undercarriage wasn't impressive. First bite piping hot was great, however, the dough was undercooked and way overchewey, no crunch at all. No one bite, I gave it a chance and went for a second slice, dough was even more underdone.
At this point, I mentally disregarded the Margherita and had my eyes and nose on the street taco since all I can smell at this point is the tajin.
Street taco:
Sat for 3 minutes, Less flop, sauce was great, the crema with tajin coats your tongue and tickles the back of your throat while the jalapeños give you spicey folks that nice pizzaz your looking for. Crust was good, however, same issue as the Margherita, the undercarriage and dough was undercooked causing the what would be a great pizza to be overly chewy and disappointing.
I'm still sitting here mulling over what I even would consider rating this while also considering if the 50/50 split was the culprit of being undercooked.
Side note, while considering this rating and review, the bartender informed me they just went to a (3) drink maximum rule no matter what you're drinking.. take that as you will.
Anyways,
Everything but the dough is notable on the pies.
If I had to rate it, despite if my 50/50 was the cause:
Margherita: 5.1?
Street taco: 5.8?
If the dough was considerably more thoroughly cooked, this could have easily been high six low 7.
I'm unsure if ol' Dave got lucky here or what, but it's currently Wednesday at 7pm with no rush going on, surely the dough should have been cooked all the way through.
