A surprising little gem of a spot in the heart of the Temple campus. I’ve ragged on this area of the city but I was pleasantly surprised with Pizano’s. I’m sure this place is slammed at night and on weekends. If you can find parking, you should get a solid slice. Not too thin...but not doughy. Good cheese with a sweet sauce. Good stuff.

The taste it’s very different if you are eating it sober. Eat after a night of partying hard if you’re hungry after. Also watch out for over pricing.

I’ll be working up at Temple for the next few months, so I’ll be knocking a few college spots off the list here soon. In Pizano’s, I’m about 99% sure I’m already having the best slice in this section of town. Not one piece of this slice is lacking. There’s no Philly Phlop, the sauce is sweet and light, and the cheese has good flavor. If anything, the outer crust could have used another minute or two in the oven. Overall, damn good slice for the area. Worth a stop if in the area. That’s a review!
