Pizza Al's II

The dough is fresh and cooked well. They make it thinner than other places in town. Needs some zing- maybe some salt and a little oregano. You can’t go wrong here for a local place. You can always add your own flavor. Fun to watch the operation that they have on a Friday night. The staff is kind and is happy to see you.

Fantastic

Massive large pizza. Good bit of grease. The good The dough was crisp in areas but not as crisp as I’d like and the sauce had majority of the flavor in the pie. The pepperoni didn’t taste cheap. The bad The cheese left a bit to be desired. Kinda lacked flavor.

Great pizza, quality ingredients. Dough is bangin n crispy. Cant beat the price, small 16" is like $9

The dough itself is amazing. Excellent crunch, super fresh toppings.

Best pizza in Morgantown!! I was shocked to see Prez’ give such a low score. I ordered last Friday night (sorry for the late review) in 20 minutes I witnessed a pizza come out the door every 20 seconds or so. That speaks for itself in a small part of town. I’m not sure where else you can get a better slice in Morgantown. I’m on a run lately with good pizza scores.. . I’m scared of the future scores. 8.4, I usually agree with Prez but he got this one WRONG.

Alright Frankie, Growing up here you quickly learn the city of Morgantown is full of rivalries (MHS vs. UHS / South vs. Suncrest / Rio vs. Los Mariachis)... well the pizza game is no different. Al's is the OG who has been slinging pizza to WVU fans for generations: Best crust anywhere outside of NY, good sauce, crispy small Pep's, and HUGE Motown Flop. There's no debate Al's is the best football pizza around plus you get 5ft of it for less then 1% of your stimulus check... I mean what more could you want! 8.7 for the GOAT Sidney Crosby. (TLDR) Executive Summary: Al's best Pizza, Rio has the best Coke, and South/MHS have the best athletes... If it had more sauce on it. I scored an 8.4. Great pie just skimpy on the sauce!

Crispy crusty with plenty of flop. Cheese was on point, but a little stingy on the sauce.

Crispy crust, pretty big flop , very tasty fresh sauce , not a lot of grease. Quality ingredients. Very solid slice.

I moved to NC three years ago and have found nothing to compare to Pizza Al’s. It’s my first stop when I return for a visit. I’ve rated a few places, down here, and some have been good. But, nothing like this. I dream about this exact pizza. Extra pepperoni/extra cheese on half and everything on the other half. 🤤

This is by far the best pizza in Morgantown... Only knock would be they don't do slices, but theres no way slices would be this good.... So not much of a knock..
