Pizza by Rocco is an absolute gem tucked away in an unassuming corner of a seedy Manchester neighborhood. This hole-in-the-wall pizza spot delivers an experience that punches far far above its modest setting. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warm smile of the owner—clearly someone who takes pride in every slice that leaves the oven.
Now I went with a cheese pizza like I usually review because if you mess up a cheese pizza, then your pizza is trash, toppings cant save you.It was absolutely perfect crispy crust that crackles just enough on the bite but still holds a bit of that beloved New York-style *flop* at the tip. It's that little fold that says, *“Yeah, I’m legit.”* The cheese was the definition of perfection: melty, gooey, just stringy enough, and full of rich, slightly tangy flavor that blended seamlessly with the light but boldly flavored tomato sauce.
Each bite was the ideal balance of crunch and chew, the making of this pizza took time and love, and it was quite apparent in its taste and presentation.
Rocco is nestled adjacent to a Dominoes and will absolutely be the reason why that Dominoes could shut down in the near future. You won't find better pizza in Manchester.
