It was very greasy. There was a bit too much flop despite being reheated. The sauce had too much of something. I couldn’t tell if it was garlic or an herb. But it was quite pronounced. If you like a flavorful sauce I could see how you would go for this but no one in my family preferred it.

Maybe Dave went on an OFF day, because I think Pizza Italia is definitely worth having a slice at. The regular slice is definitely cheese heavy, not very sauce and definitely oily, but that’s my style. I think the reg is a high seven, let’s say 7.9. The triangle grandma is definitely the star and comes in at 8.2 for me so I’m splitting the difference and going 8.1. I think this is definitely a Manhattan pizzeria worth stopping at.
