this visit was more a calibration visit to see what a potential portnoy 7.5 is like. loved the crispy airy thin crust. a little floppier than expected. great balance on sauce and cheese. this was a clear upper sevens event.

7.8 me but my brother said it was 7.7 pizza. Johnny pizza was great tho

Bought a 20” piece of sausage and pepperoni and very happy. Was a big much when you order more than one topping. Bought a slice to really rate it and I will say the slice does it more Justice. Overall Dave’s rating was pretty spot on, just have to go a little high for my personal score.

Margarita pizza was good. I loved there sauce cheese slides right off maybe to much sauce? I def liked it

Thin and crispy, good flavor in the sauce. I really dislike waiting it there because of the heat inside. I wish they had a dining area. Overall good pizza.

As regular of a NYC slice as it gets

tale of two pizzas. bottom half of slices were flop city when picked up and cheese separating fully off crust creating a soupy mess. upper half near crust was cooked much better with solid char and crunch on crust. pepps tasted good. sauce and flavor was better than ok but had some greasiness

Dave is pretty spot on about his opinion on this pizza but I would say it’s better than a 7.5. The Sicilian tastes better than it looks and is quite light/airy. The traditional new york slice is thin and cooked well. Decent amount of grease but that’s what to expect from this pizza. Overall both pizzas were solid and I’ll definitely be back!

Great Italian pizza

My long time rating for Johnny’s NY Style pie cut pizza has been a good 6.8. However, I picked up a Grandma style pepperoni today and for me, it’s a better pizza and I really enjoyed it. Johnny’s has great sauce and Grandma style is loaded thick on top and they have good cupped pepperoni’s. Get the pizza extra crispy and enjoy. I’ve been a repeat customer for Johnny’s, but this grandma will bring me back more often.

No flop, nice and light on the crust. Sauce had a good tang, could have used a little more seasoning. Overall great football slice and worth checking out.

The pizza was good. The underside was nice and crispy. Could of had some more mozzarella. Didn't care for the pepperoni. Next time without. The grandma's pizza we are gonna have to do fresh , but it was good off the counter. Definitely will have again
