Pizza La Stella

Veggies, sauce , and crust have good flavor but no crisp in the center of pie. Worst flop ever Frankie! I would also expect a pizzeria located in a craft beer mecca like Raleigh to actually have more Raleigh craft beer. WTF?! Cool ambiance and good downtown location but overall a little disappointing.

Pizza was ok, not outstanding though by any means. Dough is way to chewy for my tastes, not the Neapolitan style I expected. The place has great ambiance, service, etc. pretty decent for Raleigh, but nothing to write home about

Soft, fluffy pizza with a small layer of charred crust for flavor. Their "special oven" leaves a very small impact on the pizza. The sauce is basic and doesn't do anything for the flavor, even when it's almost non-existent. Dough is bland.

Having moved down to NC a year ago I am still searching my NY pizza fix. This pie is good but falling short. Sauce and cheese have a nice flavor as does the crust. Even though this pizza is wood/coal fired it doesn’t achieve the crispness to make it a great slice. This will do in a pinch, so I will continue my search.

Expecting it to be a little crispier. Solid flavor. It’s a bit thin and the flopage hurt the final score.

Good sauce and not much flop. Not crazy about the crust.
