Pizza Land

Sopranos aside. This is good pizza. This is what should be expected when you get pizza in Jersey. Good undercarriage, great crust, the taste is fantastic. The people inside are nice as can be. The place has been around forever and the inside is amazing! I hope they never update it!

Went here solely because of the Sopranos nostalgia, we were pleasantly surprised by how good the pizza was!

Woke up this morning got myself a large plan cheese pizza. Very cheese slice. It’s like cartoon pizza. Lot of flop also. Tasted very commercial. It reminded me of when Papa John’s would do a New York style pie. But the place is in T’s neighborhood. I gotta go 7.2. If you were going over your boys house and brought the pizza from the sopranos opening credits, and this was the pizza, he’d be like “I liked Breaking Bad better”

Been a long time coming to hit this landmark spot!!! Start off by saying extremely unique flavor that really hits the spot, well done pie too really bringing the flavors out. The thin crust pie is started off in a pan then finished off on the top bricks were there’s a nice amount of charring on the undercarriage and some nice cheese caramelization on the outer edges as the sauce and cheese go all the way out like a jersey bar style should. The flavor of the crust too is intense from the buttery oily flavor while being in the pan. The sauce and cheese are pretty abundant having that perfect funk to it from melding together on the well done cook giving the first few bites a bit of flop but no matter as they’res still plenty of crunch throughout. Overall this one exceeded my expectations by quite a bit and easily killed the pie in minutes almost opening up box to waste my take home pie too. Not only is it a must hit spot because of the sopranos ties but it’s just a killer neighborhood joint you have to sit down and try!!!

Good thin slice. No crisp on the undercarriage Lot of drip but really good flavor and crisp on the limited crust. Classic place. Great visit.

Crunchy, Thin & Greasy. Unique pie

You woke up this morning got yourself a gun. Always wanted to come to this Sopranos spot. It's cooked like a typical Jersey style in the pan, then pulled out and decked in oven. The ingredients were really solid, and ratios were on point. This was thin like a bar pie. Unfortunately, a typical Jersey bar pie has a lot of crisp, and this pie lacked that. It was very floppy due to the abundant amounts of sauce and cheese. It caused the pizza to be extremely greasy and took away their flavorful sauce. This lacked a crust like any other bar pie, and the dough wasn't the tastiest. Happy I came, but I left disappointed.

Sauce tastes amazing. Perfect amount of cheese, the crust was awesome.

It's pretty good pizza. The sauce and cheese go well together and the crust has a perfect consistency. The place itself also has a bunch os soprano's memorabilia in there which is fun to see.

OLD school pie, he did a whole new pie and gave 2 slices. Fresh. Hot as balls. Molten Lava, paper thin, great tasting Pizza

Really good flavor, sauce and cheese had really good balance. Greasy but not too much. Flop city, only crunch in the crust. Wish they cooked it a little longer.

Texture and crust is an A+. Taste though is so-so to me. But this place is an institution. 🙏

Super greasy and floppy but the crust was good. Not bad but better in the area.

For starters the way the pizza was cooked was interesting and made for a unique pie. Started in a pan cooked almost entirely in the bottom oven then moved to the top oven and finished off. I really liked the place. Very old school hole in the wall and the sopranos connection makes it a novelty. The pizza itself had an awesome crust. Soft yet thin and a bit of a crisp on the undercarriage. It’s only down side is it was extremely greesy. Did not make it taste any less delicious but it was excessive. Overall I really enjoyed this pizza. It was interesting and not another typical football pizza. Very good pizza.

This pizzeria is of legendary status. Back in the 80's Freddy made the best pizza around. Only the Star Tavern and Ralphs was even close. Freddy is gone but the secret has been perserved. Ratio is perfect.
