Pizza Review
It’s been a few years since I was up in the NEPA region but I have found a new favorite pizza up here!!! Pizza L’Oven only does pan fried Sicilian, and the best way to describe it is like a Detroit pizza without the cheese caramelization and the bottom soaks up the oil leading to an intense bite. The crust is pocketed underneath heavily and has such incredible flavor while it’s pillowy and surprisingly airy on the interior. I opted for an onionless sauce which they are known for but it was nice and tangy, perfect for this tray as you must say lol and then is blanketed with a nice stretchy mozzarella before being covered in the cup n char pepperoni that was the perfect topping for this style. Of all the pizzas I’ve had over the years including so many old forge style cuts, there’s nothing I can compare this too and it was so f**king good, like blew my expectations away which a place like this that’s been around since the 70s doin their own thing leads to an experience that’s so hard not to score hi. It’s unlike anything you’ve probably tried so far and very deserving to be called the best when it comes to this style.
