Pizza Review
Very solid NY style pie, crispy. Flavor doesn't pop as much as Ignazios did. I would say it's the sauce

Pizza Review
Opened near the end of 2022, taking over Ignazio’s Pizza location, like most of Southern Connecticut, they serve New York style pizza, as opposed to the New Haven style pies Northern CT emulates. Essentially Connecticut football pizza, this is a traditional round pie, standardly sliced but nothing about it really screams NY pizza. Very firm, with a heavily charred undercarriage, blackened to the point of borderline burnt, though not particularly crispy. The dough is mostly soft & looks thick but it’s actually deceptively thinnish with a pillowy soft crust that doesn’t pack much crunch. The cheese appears to be a blend of shredded mozzarella with spots of fresh mozz to go along with a melty & creamy consistency but overshadowed by a bright glowing orange complexion from the heavy grease, likely spawned from the butter fat in the cheese, soaking the entire pie in abundant oil. Though not overly salty, the presence of grease is just enough to neutralize the flavor in the mozzarella as well as hinder the taste of the sauce. Despite a reasonable amount of visibility, the flavor of the sauce is masked by other ingredients as well as the substantial oil slick. Not particularly sweet or savory, the sauce struggles to distinguish itself in the absence of any real seasoning or spice. Some garlic powder, grated Parmesan or crushed red pepper would greatly help add some flavor. Decent all-around taste overall, this pie just needs more effort from the sauce to provide some personality. Better than generic Connecticut football pizza, but not great; this pie is fine if you need a pizza fix but it’s not worth going out of your way to try.
