Great Detroit style pizza with a flakey buttery crust but lacking a bit in the sauce.

Supposedly this is the best pizza in Bloomington, IL. It seems to be a Detroit style. Buttery crust. I'll give them that. But it's also probably a bit overdone. This seems more like a garlic bread than anything. Decent flavor all the way around but this is not my thing.

Great crunch, solid flavor and filling for its size. Owner is amazing and friendly. Recommend getting a sample of the Hot Honey as well.

My first thought as they brought out our pizza was wow those are small, however, this do not effect my scoring. Online they advertised what they called New York style but upon ordering said New York style it came to our attention that this was not in fact New York but Detroit style. The Detroit style crust was a good surprise. It was light and airy and the edges crunched with a buttery touch. The pizza in general did not offer enough sauce which I would love to have more since it was very good. The pepperoni was tasty and their signature hot honey complemented their pizza very well. In all the pizza did not have enough flavor but the crust was very good with this said I give it a 6.8. Stay hungry my friends.

This hard-to-get pizza is brought to you by a company who thinks they make New York style pizza. They obviously haven’t been in the pizza game that long, but good try. This is Detroit style, and to be frank, it was slightly above average. They act like it’s exclusive and make it sound amazing. I wanted a higher scoring pizza, I really did. However, while it is overall a good pizza, they did not hit it out of the park like they say. More on the pizza though: the fermented, hand stretched dough was actually quite tasty and very airy for Detroit-style. The sauce was sweet, but it could have used more. Pepperoni was average but did not complete the pizza as I yearned for a stronger flavor and a more filling pizza overall. In essence it was a lot of airy dough with some sweet sauce on top. The crust had a very good crunch and was caramelized with the spicy honey drizzle. The atmosphere was weird, it being in a VR place, and insanely overpriced for such a small pizza (This does not effect the score). I enjoyed it, however it just fell short of that 7 mark for me. That’s a review.

If you can figure out how to get this pizza, get it. Good crunch to it, solid taste, and pan thick but still fluffy... a bit greasy with the sausage. Didn’t come cut so be prepared or that. Try the hot honey, it’s decent.
