Back in the NEPA region for one of the OG pan fried Sicilians!!! Since 1975 Pizza Perfect has been making incredible square trays and is one of the most iconic spots in the are, their pizzas are fried in pans with peanut oil that lead to one of the most satisfying flavors you’ll experience, think of funnel cake flavor with sauce and cheese. The outer crust has an amazing texture and crisp that’s literally fried and pocketed heavily underneath while being pretty airy and extremely pillowy on the interior, this is not as heavy as it looks. The sauce is tangy and pretty plentiful for this style and opted for no onions as I’m not about that yet. Cheese is also a real winner here, silky smooth and abundant with nice pull and flavor that is more traditional than some of the other blends used in the region. Pepperoni then amplifies the flavor on the other half of the tray with the oil dripping down saturating into the crust edges for even more flavor. Truly worthy of the hype as one of NEPA’s best Pizza Perfect is another killer destination pizzadventure that you have to try!!!
