Pizza Plant Italian Pub - Canalside

Thoroughly enjoyed this. Surprised at the low scores. Buffalo style, so thicker, but I thought all flavors balanced themselves out perfectly.

Good pizza. A little thicker than I like, but I think that’s Buffalo’s style.

Third degree burn in my mouth. The sauce is good but the cheese and dough are sub-par. Football pizza.

Getting to this place is a little odd. There’s a sign on the back corner of the Marriott that says “eat pods”. Not Tide Pods, that challenge is old... They make what’s called a pizza “pod” which I’m assuming is similar to a calzone but that’s not what I’m here for. This is one heavy slice. It is also doughy and undercooked on the bottom which is odd due to the overcooked pepperoni on top. The cheese is ore shredded and flavorless, the sauce is decent albeit a little sweet. The foundation for a good slice is here, upgrade that cheese and make it a little crispier and it’s in the 8’s. For now it’s a 6.3

When I order a personal pizza, I usually don’t expect much. I don’t know what it is, I’m no pizza scientist, but personal pizzas are never great. This was an exception. Very good “pie”. Sauce was a bit sweet, cooked just right, and the cheese was just about perfect. Quality pizza.
