Pizza Secret Ristorante e Pizzeria Napoletana

This is a very good Neapolitan. Everything was fresh. Crust was very doughy with a bit of char. Only little nitpick knock is I felt it could’ve been cooked a little longer but if you’re into Neapolitan pizza, this is a place to check out.

This is really good, but super floppy. Crust, sauce and cheese all have terrific flavor, and the crust at the top has nice, chewy flavor. If they could crisp it up, it would be in the mid 8s. I

Been wanting to come here for a while. Excellent Neopolitan Pizza. I don’t use Dave’s scale so it’s a solid 8.4. The cacio peppe pie gets a 8.7.

All that was left of a really great pizza. Also had the rice balls, Caesar salads, secret spritz and the 4 cheese gnocchi. Will definitely come back!

Just like every other wood-fired, brick oven, Neapolitan pizza I’ve ever had, there appears to be a nice char but the dough is soft, chewy & mushy in the center. Unlike some of the other Neapolitans, this actually had a decent char underneath, which definitely boosted the flavor of the dough. The sauce appears watered down and way to thin, almost soup-like. The buffala mozzarella is delicious but needed to be melted more thoroughly. When you call in your order and they tell you it will be ready in 5 minutes, you know they’re not leaving that pie in the oven long enough. Good overall taste though with plenty room to improve. Thicken up that sauce, maybe give it a little kick with some spices, melt that cheese into an oozing consistency and this score could potentially climb into the 8s. As it stands, it’s a typical good Neapolitan personal pie, but don’t go out of your way for it.

Bufala lots of flavor. The crust needs more crisp, the middle is completely soggy.

I was really hopeful but I don’t think it lives up to the hype. Solid pizza though.

It’s no di farras, but for Italian style pizza it’s definitely up there. Margherita slice was excellent, though I wouldn’t say it cracked the 9s. Really good pizza.

I’ve lived on Long Island my whole life, been to many, many pizza places across north jersey, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island, and this is probably the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life. Delicious.
