Pizza Shackamaxon

Best in Philly IMO… little greasy but that’s to be expected with pepperoni. Burnt bubbles, fresh parm dusting, firm, crisp, flakey crust and perfect sauce.

Crust was good, cheese didn’t blend as well as I prefer, overall decent pie, probably won’t be back though.

The pizza whole pie in Philly.. maybe… maybe grandma pie at Angie’s but this was just as good

Best pizza I’ve had in Philly, you can taste the development in the dough, thin and crunchy but not tough. Had some tomato pie too that was excellent as well. Better than angelo’s which many say is “the best” pizza is a matter of taste and for me thus far in Philly is the best I’ve had

Pizza shackamaxon is currently ranked in the daily meals top 101 pizza places in the country and after one bite I could see why! I got a slice of their standard cheese and one of their upside down parmesan cheese as it was their daily special and was recommended by staff. Both slices were nothing short of amazing and were both easily in the 9's! Flavor was out of this world on both and the crisp was a legit 10 out of 10! Absolutely zero flop which is surprising considering the size of their slices! This is one of my highest scores overall in over 100 reviews and is currently my #1 rated slice and has set the bar very high for how good a reheated slice can be! Dave is out of his mind giving this one a 7.9! If this place had been around for generations or was located in New Haven or Boston he would have gone in the 9's without batting an eye!

Very oily but still at nice slice

Really solid pizza here. Good cheese to bread ratio in the beginning, but gets crispier the closer you get to the crust which is great. A couple big bubbles in these slices. Could use more sauce however, but always great that the wait isn’t long. Happy to continue bringing my business to Girard & Shackamaxon, good people working there as well.

Second time having Shackamaxon. Crust is perfection. Very crispy again. Definitely a cheesier style and high quality. Cheese has a unique flavor. The sauce is the only thing keeping this from a perfect pizza. Little bland /not enough. Top 5 in Philly.
