I had high hopes for this place because of the great reviews. Let me say emphatically, this is not pizza. It’s twice cooked focaccia at best. There is much better Detroit style pizza (which I assume this is trying to be) and much better focaccia out there. I had the sausage and mushroom first and could barely taste the toppings. The caramelized onion square was better but both of them were not well balanced. I could think of at least 4 better square slices in San Francisco and I think there are only 5 total places in the city specializing in square slices. I could be wrong but I’m right about this being skip-able. I feel sorry for the people who live nearby because this place is so close and they may end of getting it more often than they like because of the convenience.

Echoing other reviewers the red top with the ricotta was delicious with a little tang and spice in the sauce. The completely different gruyere with caramelized onion (French onion soup slice) was well executed. Crust was crunchy and not chewy like most SF pizza. Legit choices across the board although at about $6 a slice it’s not cheap. Will come back to try other versions but expect these two will remain my faves here.

Had this pizza yesterday was delicious had to come back to make sure it wasn’t a fluke. It wasn’t. Full of flavor, break your teeth crunch while still soft and fluffy inside. Solid Sicilian, best pizza I’ve had so far in SF. Highly recommend their caramelized onion.

This is the closest to traditional Detroit style in SF. The dough is fluffy, but has great structure and is fully baked through. The caramelized crust is perfectly cooked, not burnt. The Red Top with a few dollops of ricotta and oregano is a nice touch. Caramelized onions, gruyere and chives on the right is a “French onion soup” slice, and easily one of my favorites in the city currently.
