Pizza review, after a long drive from Long Island NY, I am making a overnight stopoff in the Historic town of St. Augustine. Last official day of my vacation.
1. They have signs all over saying they are considered the 2nd best pizza in the nation according to trip advisor. I came by a friend's recommendation.
2. Normally I don't post prices often but $5..25 a slice of plain cheese is a bit high ( I realize they are in the heart of old town but the other shops are all pretty reasonable).
3. Their cheese was very tasty and the thick type that I like. Dough was perfectly baked off but I've had better flavored crust/dough in many other places.
4. The sauce they make fresh with imported tomatoes from Italy. Tomatoes vary thru the year with taste and I did not think their sauce was in the "best of" category. (Most reviewers use the word tang) I believe it needed more tang (kick) to it!
