PIZZATA PIZZERIA

Diane, when I tell you that flavors can sing, I mean it. I’m here at Pizzata pizzeria in South Philly and I just had a slice of their finest sourdough artisan New York style pepperoni pizza. now Diane i tell you, my world came to a sudden impasse between heaven and pizza. And I found the road that went to both. This pizza is unlike any other slice I think I’ve consumed in my lifetime. It’s soft crispy, thick crust and a whole lot of business going on. I can’t say that I frequent this kind of pizza, but what I can say is I will frequent this one.

Pizza was a bit too salty - however if you’re in the area it is probably a good-to spot for decent pie.

I’d say it’s slightly overrated. Not bad by any means. Great crunch. Flavor just isn’t all there.

Exceptional take on red pie here. Beautifully sourced ingredients. Aromatic and bright. Crust is perfectly snappy, crispy and refreshing. The type of pie that impresses with its flavors but also its functionality and repeatability. Could eat the whole thing in 1 sitting

Super thin. Sauce is vinegary. Good crunch. Good cheese. Slightly overrated

Fresh ingredients. Get some garlic nuts!

Cheese is good, but had a great slice of another one. Sausage & Pepp, Ricotta and hot honey. Thats was 8.5

I’ve had this a few times now and they are very consistent. Sauce is elite. Rich authentic tomato flavor. Everything tastes fresh and on the lighter side. Almost a perfect za. Crust could be a little more well done for extra crisp. Top 5 in Philly no doubt

One of the best slices ive had in philly. Not quite as crispy as i like and a little soupy, but overall great.

Good pizza. At first I wasn’t a fan of the sweetness in the sauce, but it grew a little bit more on me as I continued to devour. The best part here is the dough, as you notice the great taste especially in the crust. I can definitely understand based on the plain slice why this place is highly rated for Philadelphia. On a more very philly thing note. There’s a regular that comes and harasses the customers at lunch time. Apparently sometimes he steals bites of people’s pizzas, sometimes he throws red pepper flakes in peoples faces. He didn’t bother me today, we just exchanged hellos. Philly Philly.
