It has to be the best pizza I have ever tasted and the sauce was perfect the cheese was to!!!!, but the one thing was it was the flop it had a lot of flop and if it had less it would be a 10/10 for sure

This is as authentic neopolitan pizza as you will find in the US. Not Dave’s favorite, so he’d score it 7.2 and would put it in the “fancy” category. If you want football or bar style, this isn’t for you. The ingredients are excellent and you get what you pay for. The pistachio is the best in my opinion.

I had high hopes for this pizza. A little burnt but that should mean good crisp. There is a ton of flop and no crisp. Cheese is a little rubbery and the pizza is very doughy. Sauce is good though. The search for good pizza continues.

I tried the Margherita Doc Pizza. In my opinion it was not good at all. The sauce was so sweet it was almost inedible. For a thin pizza it was very doughy tasting. I really thought being a wood fired oven the crust would have a good flavor and crunch but boy was I wrong. The cheese was the only redeeming quality of this pizza. Very high quality. The hostess that took my order was very polite and nice. The cheese and the hostess are the only things that stopped me from giving them a 0. Might be a bad idea but I plan to go back and try a plain cheese to see if maybe it was just the Margherita Doc Pizza or I went on a off day.

Great pizza, thin crust from a wood fired oven. Excellent variety in pizza. Fancy stuff if you’re into that, or a basic cheese and pepperoni. Our score would be lower if we were using Dave Portnoy’s scale. The conversion for a Virginia Beach/ Chesapeake 8.9 equals a 7.1 if Dave was reviewing for Frankie. End state...this is great pizza for Southern Virginia.
