Something was just off about it. I liked it enough to comeback and try their other slices.

How can you pass on “The Portnoy”?? Amazing pizza in Garden City

Regular: not to crispy and pretty natural flavor wise. Not bad 7.3 Grandma: A little bit thick for a Grandma slice. Could be a little crisper. Sugar is definitely added to the sauce 7.5 Upsidedown: pretty much the Grandma, just Upsidedown. 7 5

The burrata marinara saved the score for me otherwise it would have been sub 7. The standard margherita (the G) and upside down were just the okay. Lacking flavor mostly. The PPP (pesto) was a shocker too, it could just have too much going on that nothing really stood out. The Portnoy Slice vs The Regular Slice here at Pizza G! So my regular slice was charred to shit, don’t technically wasn’t fair. I was literally eating ash and washing it down with soda. The Portnoy slice easily wins on flavor alone. Both slices are super thin, but very oily so have those napkins ready.

Really solid slice place with a lot of variety. Warning: they were closing a full 90 minutes before their closing time and the smell of the soap from mopping the floors hurt the experience a bit.

Portnoy slice was great. Vodka slices were good but heavy. Pepperoni pinwheel a bit too greasy. Haven’t tried it but heard margarita is good

I’m with Dave on this one. Football pizza but a better than most football pizza. Great flavors. I wish the Portnoy pie (not pictured) was more well done and had this cheese on it. That’d be a high 8 for sure.

Been eating pizza all over NYC today and this one’s our favorite! Cheese and sauce are both delicious, the crust is perfectly crisped - everything was great. And the owner and staff were wonderful. 10/10

Like the set up and location. This may be preference but I wound the slices to be doughy although thin, overly cheesy and sauce to be sweet and subtle. Not enough flavor there and ratios are off

Pretty over rated and over priced they could do better especially on a Friday night.

Large variety of slices at this place. I had 3 of this batch. Generally I thought the sauce was nice and they went heavy on the cheese. Biggest issue for me was the dough. Each one had issues with the dough being not cooked enough or too stretched out to hold the cheese and sauce. My 6.9 was for the grandma which was more doughy than a traditional grandma slice but the sauce really stood out and brought up the score. Had the Portnoy which I guess is supposed to be a thin crispy slice. A bit cheese heavy and wasn’t that crispy. I went 6.7 on that one. The margherita was the disappointment of the bunch. The dough was so thinly cooked I couldn’t hold the slice. Became as floppy as a fish out of water and couldn’t finish it. That one was a 5.5

Both pizza and staff were amazing. Met Rob the owner who has a great personality and knew a lot about pizza. We tried both the regular slice and the Portnoy slice. Both delicious, if I had to pick one I would go with the Portnoy…Dave you mis-judged this one!!!
