Burrata on Pizza...fucking next level
Pizza Review
Ok Frankie we are once again at Libretto Pizzeria (pizza review time June 12th 1:30pm)... when it comes to pizza perfection in the city of Toronto? This place is it .... we do many pizza reviews and we are honest as the day is long and this is our highest ranked place that we have reviewed so far .... and the only score that we’ve ever given in the 9s... please do read our last two reviews on this incredible pizzeria .... one location is on Pearl Street and the other is on Ossington ... in the heart of Toronto... In our last reviews we did the extensive coverage that you have come to expect to know from us in our detailed pizza reviews.... but in this review we can just skip right to the chase......one bite everyone knows the rules —> Pearl Street location we had the margarita pizza and we scored it a 9.6 the highest rated score we have ever given out and then when we tried the Ossington location we had to try the Sicilian pizza which was out of this world and we scored it an 8.9... Second highest score that we’ve ever given out and when you are met with pizza perfection sometimes you have to take a moment to realize it... and this is definitely our number one recommended pizza that we have for anyone visiting the greater Toronto area or living in the area.... the Sauce is sweet with a garlic kick and it’s the same in all the locations and now you can really see that that is the signature sauce that they base their business on.... seeing how we tried one of each of their specialty pizzas in the past it was only fitting that we came to the Danforth location and tried one of each so we took one Margarita and one Sicilian and we’re doing a double review here today. The Margarita was not as good as that of the Pearl Street location sadly and though the ingredients are fresh and the sauce is the same they didn’t quite cook the pizza to perfection like they did at the Pearl Street location and the pizza came off a little Doughy... The undercarriage had zero char and it did have flop ... ( some would call it Slightly undercooked Frankie - We wouldn’t - some would - We wouldn’t).... but on the other end the Sicilian pie was absolute pizza perfection and if you go back to our last review we did an extensive coverage on it and it was if anything ? It’s even better than the last one we had (1 to 10 / one bite / everyone knows the rules / bite it / score it -> 1 thru 10 -> here we go) ~> all wrapped into one ! Margarita Pizza 8.5 and the Sicilian Pizza 9.3 (professional score) ... so the average score of 8.9 Libretto Pizza ! The place is so unassuming and underwhelming that you could walk right past it and it gives off a great little rustic pizza vibe in the middle of Toronto but it’s so unassuming that you will miss it if you’re not looking out for it and they really don’t care because when you serve pizza at this quality ? the customer will find you .... 8.9 that’s a review!
