Pizza Review
Okay I went here a few weeks ago. I was really excited to find a place that does Neapolitan style pizza in Colorado. First red flag, I couldn’t smell the beautiful pizza aromas when I walked in, it literally smelled like nothing, so sad! Second was they tried to overdo the fancy by giving us a coke by the can instead of a fountain drink, honestly I prefer the fountain and prefer not having to pay for each damn drink. They had sparkly water and just were trying a little too hard to be fancy and I don’t think pizza places need to be. Although, it justified the prices I’m sure. The pizza was tasty but it was WAY TOO SALTY. And I love a salty bite. The reason I think was because of the salami they used in the pizza. It was too fancy and aged and just tasted of salt and they should have used way less. The middle was soggy and I did t like that. I tried 4 different flavors. And all were way too salty and I tasted more Parmesan than anything. Couldn’t taste the fresh mozerella or olive oil well and it was overall over seasoned and trying too hard. I love the simplicity of the Neapolitan and tasting the delicious fresh marzano tomatoes, the basil, the fresh mozzarella, and the to die for fresh dough crust. Got none of that here and was totally bummed. Tasted a lot of garlic, Parmesan, and salami. It just wasn’t a pure pizza taste. It was all good flavors but not for this style of pizza. Do less guys! And make it smell like pizza in there! And do fountain drinks with free refills, more down to earth and you’ll go so far! Still had great service though and overall it was decent. But I’m such a pizza snob I’ll look elsewhere.
