Pizza Review
If you’ve had one Greek style pizza, you’ve pretty much had them all; however, I will say, this is probably the best of all the Greek pies I’ve tried. Making pizza since 1971, this joint serves their pies in the same Greek round style cut in squares. The dough is airy & spongy, light & fluffy in spots, lubed up with olive oil to keep it moist and from sticking. The middle pieces are extra greasy and crustless, while the pieces with crust are crispy, crunchy and buttery near the edges. This sauce is far better than most of the Greek pies I’ve had; it’s distinctive, flavorful, more spunk and jazz than the standard Greek pizzas. In fact, if this sauce were on a traditional pie with fresh mozzarella, it could probably score in the upper 7s. The cheese is the typical thick, firm, charred and somewhat greasy kind you find on basic Greek pies. This just isn’t my kind of pizza. If you like Greek style, this is definitely better than most but if I come here again, I’ll try a gyro.
