Slaps. Bottom mad crispy

The crispy crust caught me by surprise. Could use a bit more flavor but it’s a darn decent crispy pie.

Nothing spectacular but decent boardwalk pizza. Definitely wouldn’t drive out of my way for it but gets the job done.

great pizza. great sauce, great consistency, great crust. a little too much grease. A+

Fresh dough. Tasty blend of cheese. Sauce had a nice tang to it without being sweet. Best place on the boardwalk for a pie. Manco & Manco is similar, but it’s too greasy for me.

Not sure why these scores are so low this was the best slice I have had in awhile. Maybe it was reheating the slice that made it crispy and light but it was awesome!

Preps is amazing. Regular slice size. Sauce is tasty and has an impactful crunch that makes you want more

This pizza is very mid. The crust/bread confuses me and the sauce is a bit too liquidy. Very decent boardwalk pizza

Weird crisp with a doughy crust, not much flop and good taste

It’s good, not great. I still prefer Manco. I think that the crust on this is what kinda ruins the amazing cheese and sauce.

Alright so it’s not a bad pizza but it’s also not great! The sauce is alright but the bottom of the pizza has a bit too much flower! The Sauce did have a sweet and salty tang to it!

Prez was dead on with this one. A long time famous spot, I thought it was just average.

The rival of Manco & Manco since joining the Ocean City Pizza Boardwalk Battle in 1965, Prep’s has the same swirled sauce style also used by Maruca’s in Seaside Heights. The difference here is the thickness of the pie; this is more of a “beach football” pizza. The dough is tasty, soft & fluffier, not much crisp, but a firmer undercarriage that prevents floppage & sogginess. The cheese is a little oily, with an orange tint, a tad salty, fairly generic. The swirled sauce is evenly distributed and makes for a pretty nice-looking pie; but much like Manco & Manco, it’s a similar tangy, bitter, oregano-flavored, subdued sauce that lacks sweetness. This is a heavier pie with a much thicker crust, which is pretty good but not nearly as tasty as Manco & Manco’s incredibly delicious crust. Overall, this is solid, yet unspectacular Jersey Shore pizza. Not a bad boardwalk slice, but definitely not destination pizza. In the same ballpark as Manco & Manco, maybe just a notch below.

If I was fed this blindfolded I would have said it was a Manco & Manco slice. Its tastes exactly the same but better because the crust was crispier with more of that cracker crunch.
