Privateers Pizza

The sauce has good flavor and the pizza always has a nice crisp. The sausage pizza is outstanding. Consistently excellent.

I tried this pizza for the first time 2 months ago and it’s been my go to spot ever since. It is by far the best pizza in the vicinity. It is super thin with a great crunch to the crust and really great tasting sauce. Even if you live outside of Essex it’s worth the trip .

Phenomenal pie, couldn’t believe it took me this long to find it. Could have been cooked slightly longer, but both the sauce and cheese were above average and the ratio was balanced. Well worth the drive!

The sauce and grated cheese had the crunch I love, sausage was great too with the crunch, best pizza in the area.

Excellent, slices were out awhile but still very good. Makes me want a fresh pie another time . Great crunch and quality ingredients. Yes, broccoli and bacon (not by choice)

Our go to pizza in essex ct. this was a mushroom cheese pie.

Great pizza very solid. Closest you’ll get to New Haven style in the area. Worth the 25 minute drive for me from Moodus as there is no great pizza out here. Asked for it well done, great under carriage, great sauce on the sweeter side but balanced. I think it’s better than grand apizza which Dave gave an 8.2. Over all nice little spot.
