Pizza Review
Ok, pizza slice review from Lower Manhattan. For anyone working in the world trade center area, you know it’s like a pizza desert here - not a lot of great options close by. This place happens to be right across from my work and catty corner from the WTC memorial plaza. I generally avoid this place but decided to take one for the team and post a review. You’re welcome, Frankie. It’s a shame this place is such a dump inside, but hey, I’ve had some amazing pizza from hole in the wall joints but this place is not one of them. It’s ok for a quick slice if in a hurry but I wouldn’t go out of my way, even for a slice. Tried a pepperoni thin slice and a Sicilian slice; the thin crust was just average, nothing to write home about. The Sicilian was pretty awful, thick bread dough, little to no sauce and very bland. The fact that it’s made like the thin crust with sauce and cheese on top should be a dead giveaway- not authentic. Sicilian slice a 3.9 score, the thin crust was average but edible. Lesson for today? Eat your lunch before coming to the WTC area for pizza. Oh, and did I mention that two slices set me back about $13 bucks? You have been warned. That’s a review.
