Punky's Pizza & Pasta

Look are deceiving! Looks like an 8 plus, but this pizza has severe flop, yeasty tasting dough. The edge crust was a bendy crisp, not a cracker crisp, like old school Chicago tavern style. The center of the pizza was a chewy, gooey mess with the cheese sliding right off. Taste was okay but lacked in ALL THE BASICS!

It’s got a New York flop for sure. Perfect place if Ricobenes is too packed. Good crispy crust and the dough is pretty fluffy. Cheese is alright. Sauce seems mild to me. Kind of a generic pizza, but worth the price.

This was a messy one. There was more cheese than anything else on this thin crust pizza. You can see from the picture that the cheese shifted since there was so much. However, if you’re into that, it was pretty damn delicious. It was quite a bit of sauce; more than I’m used to for thin crust, but I didn’t mind. It was just salty and greasy enough, but not overwhelming. This is another one of those thin crust pizzas that will fill you up after a few slices. Definitely nap worthy. Extra points for quick delivery at less than 45 minutes.
