Ralphs was my first stop on my jersey/phily pizza trip, and my timing has never been better in my entire life, as I literally walked in the minute he pulled all of his slice pies out of the oven! (See pic). I have heard people actually say that his slice pies are better than if you get a whole fresh pie made for yourself, which is definitely going against the norm. I can't say if that's true or not, because I didn't get a whole pie, but I did try his regular slice, a margarita slice and then his thin slice. All three of them were nothing short of amazing and anyone who doesn't have this in the 8's, is out of their mind! The flavor and crisp was out of this world on all three varieties!

I downloaded this stupid app just to write this review. After respecting “most” of Dave’s reviews as legitimate, I have to say he was either paid off, blackmailed, or smoking crack when he rated this pizza. He got me to drive an hour away for home-made Sbarro’s. The old school vibe of the place is great, staff is was mostly friendly. There is absolutely nothing thin about their thinnest slice. The cheese tastes like ny dollar slice cheese. After having Di Farra’s, to rate this anything 7 and above is extremely generous, 8 and above is borderline insanity. Someone needs to reign Davey boy back in before he renders his reviews as irrelevant entertainment.

Cheese and sauce are phenomenal but the crisp and crunch of the bar pie is missing.

Pizza review time. This time in Nutley New Jersey at Ralph’s pizzeria. This is an old-school joint. Been around since forever. I was definitely surprisingly impressed. A little different style to how the pizza is made. It starts out in a quasi-deep dish pan to cook for a little bit and then transfers out into the oven traditional style. It’s like a mix of a bar pie and a regular pie so I can see why Dave liked it. Also all the pies come out pretty well done which can be tricky because sometimes if you overdo it you burn the shit out of the cheese. But I was impressed. Great quality cheese. Sauce was pretty good. And the dough was unexpectedly very very good. Almost buttery in texture and thick but still very thin. Definitely a different type of dough that I’ve had in many places. This is definitely a whole pie devour session. I’m going 8.8 a little bit below Dave just because of the sauce and it being a tad bit overcooked. That’s the review

Very good pizza. Cooked just right. Good sauce and cheese. Could eat this everyday.
