Ralph's Tavern

My go to pizza is one that is crunchy and thinner crust, this is absolutely not that. However for a pizza with a mid size crust, square 10 cut pie it was incredible. Bonus points to this pie for being unreal cold as I just pounded back another slice at midnight. Sauce is solid, cheese was decent and the crust was good despite being a bit more of a chewy style. If you’re looking for a pie in the area that you won’t be disappointed with this is definitely the one to order. Definitely the kind of pie that UAlbany students run back after a night of getting absolutely hammered, if you were drunk this would probably slide up to the 8.4 range, no idea what the party seen is at UAlbany but this is literally across the street, we are talking stumbling distance, so I bet the frats love this place

Thick doughy pizza with average sauce and cheese. I see a lot of rookie scores for this pizza.

Pizza sauce : slight tang with a light garlic after taste Cheese:not very greasy at all very fresh Crust : has a nice charcoal on the undercarriage, good crisp on the crust , it is not very crispy at all has a lot of floop Overall : not as thick as it looks but is still a heavier pizza , has to much floop , and if you love garlic it has a very present garlic taste .

Awesome crust, sauce tastes homemade and perfect amount of cheese. Nice crisp too

Great crispy chewy crust. The sauce has a unique taste with a spicy zing after taste. Possibly the pepperoni. Rookie move by me not getting half cheese. I'd definitely order this again if i was in town. 8.4 is all i can do.

Meh, I expected a lot better. Disappointing overall except for the crust which absolutely saves it. Very, very good. The sauce has a hint of garlic and nothing else. Pretty bland actually. I really wanted to like this more.

I like this pizza a lot. It is very different style from the other pizzas that I have had in the Albany area. It reminds me of the pizza from Providence. A nice rectangle shaped tray pizza. Its thick and hearty with crispy, buttery edges. The sauce is thick with a strong garlic flavor. It also got better as I kept eating. This is the second time I've come to Ralph's and this place is pretty chill with good food. Worth a stop by if you are in the neighborhood.

I really like the crust. Good cheese, good tasting sauce though I’d like a little more. Overall good pizza. I’d like to try it at the restaurant. Wings are very solid too.

Got this delivered, it was slightly warm still but not hot. I wont hold that against them though. 7.5 because the crust is pretty darn tasty. Crispy edges and chewy throughout. Picture is slightly deceiving. It’s not quite as thick as it looks to be in the pictures (thats what she said!). Cheese was good, sausage was tasty, the sauce is where it needs work. It has that mealy texture to it that ive had from a few different spots along the way. I think that comes from using some different kind of tomato probably. I’d bet its a Plum Tomato sauce or Roma instead of San Marzano? Super thick mealy sauce that was not bright fresh and delicious. Instead its just slightly acidic and italian seasoned. So that knocked it down a bit. Id definitely eat this again though. Really want to see what the place is like on a weekend or something. Check out the ambiance and sling back a few tall boys and pound some Zahhhh!

Good pizza. Wonderful pizza flavor with a nice airy dough and a soft crunch on the crust. When you go to Ralph’s though the wings are a MUST.

Great pizza. Score would’ve been higher if we didn’t get delivery. Definitely worth a try.
