The Sicilian is the sleeper here but it’s they way to go! A lot of places do not have Sicilian and they do it well! The sausage is the thin and crispy kind which is the best! Bonus review of Pistachio gelato was fire 🔥 Busy neighborhood staple since 1980

Decent NY style pizza. They reheat it so it’s not that fresh. A bit greasy and lots of flop but the sauce is pretty good.

Best slice pizza. They reheat with an old school pizza oven. Undercarriage comes out crispy, and the cheese has several blends.

Probably better if you order a fresh pie instead of a stale slice. Cheese > Pepperoni

I traveled about 9 miles for this and its just a regular slice.

I went with the traditional cheese slice. As far as authenticity goes, Ray’s is legit. The semi crispy nature of the under crust and at the edges, combined with the gooey cheese/sauce combo in the middle harken back to the pizza I used to eat in Manhattan and Queens in the 80s and 90s. Maybe it’s nostalgia or the fact that this is a pizza in the Valley that isn’t artesian or Neapolitan, but I think I’m going to go a little bit higher than others. It’s a solid 5.5. Would I drive 30 miles for it? Probably not. But if I’m in the neighborhood and there is a football game on, I would definitely stop.
