Pizza Review
Much like Jace’s Place, there seems to be some confusion over the name of this joint as well. The OneBite app says Redzepi’s while their website says The Original South End Pizza. Call it whatever you want, it’s Philly trash pizza at the Jersey Shore. First of all, this place has no air conditioning; it was over a hundred degrees in that joint, while I watched workers literally dripping sweat all over the pies. If that’s not a big enough turnoff, wait til you actually taste the pizza. The dough is soft, spongy and flavorless, well below standard beach pizza dough. The cheese is also well below par, basically hot garbage, a throwaway blend, the kind you’d find at a Chuck E. Cheese. But the worst ingredient of all is the putrid sauce which tastes like a mixture of ketchup and onions, the kind you’d find atop a McDonald’s cheeseburger. Despite all of these flaws, they’re shockingly cocky about the quality of their pies here. They are in need of a serious reality check. This pizza is not worth your time or money. I’m being very generous with a 5.5 score. One word to sum up this spot: AVOID.
