Alright Frankie we are at REMEZZO (pizza review time Feb 3rd 12:15pm)... Located on Sheppard Ave in Scarborough—> Remezzo Italian Bistro has been specializing in Italian cuisine since 1978. They recently expanded and then fuckn Covid hit —> their space offers a host of choices for lunch or dinner. Choose from homemade pastas, fresh seafood and juicy steaks -> complimented by an extensive wine list as well—> this place has been a neighbourhood staple and a cherished one at that —> and Frankie another thing they are known for —> is pizza —> and that’s why were here today -> it’s February -> it’s cold -> it’s Canada .... and we came all the way out here to try the pizza -> the website says that it opens at 11AM but it really doesn’t open till 12... so we called at 11:30AM and ordered a basic cheese pizza and we had to wait for 45 minutes to get that pizza -> so a little bit of false advertising there —> but we’re not gonna deduct any points for that—> one bite everyone knows the rules —> REMEZZO —> Another thing Frankie REMEZZO has really stood the test of time -> it’s been here through the end of the 70s -> through the 80s and into the 90s which was just a crazy area around here with all kinds of problems and drug problems -> and it was nuts in the 90s -> and to see it get cleaned up by the end of the 90s and start to prosper into the 2000s and finally now 20 years later-> to see this business thriving in this neighbourhood full of young new families -> doing so well .... and only to think that a few decades back... it wasn’t like this but it doesn’t matter because REMEZZO went through all these phases with the neighbourhood -> and has always stood the test of time —> delivering solid Italian food —> and the fact that it made it —> is a testament to what a staple this truly is in the community and that’s comforting —> and that’s a little history on Scarborough-> all wrapped into one Frankie—> one bite everyone knows the rules-> it has flop but with a pinch it’s good -> dough bubbles with blackened tops Frankie —> you know how we love those —> means the oven was perfect temp ... the dough that this was made from-> we could tell right away how good the ingredients are that get used here -> add in 43 years of making pizza here in the heart of Scarborough— it spells pizza perfection > the sauce was so fresh and so light that it reminded us of ‘that Italian place’ in Brampton which we gave an 8.1 it is so pure and fresh that you would think that it’s missing something-> ( some would call it bland Frankie - We wouldn’t - some would - We wouldn’t)... Crust was on point and undercarriage has the perfect char and the Cheese was stringy and so fresh .... 1 to 10 / one bite / everyone knows the rules / bite it / score it -> 1 thru 10 -> here we go—> every bite was better than the next ~> all things taken into consideration —> 8.2 (professional score) REMEZZO’s Pizza ... in a world where there is no bad pizza and 8.0 is a rookie score but a perfect score —> this Pizza is a 8.2.. that other reviewers who left a 4.2 ? That is whack and that should be discarded!!! This pizza is really good —> we eat a a lot of pizza and we won’t let a crappy review go unmentioned.... The sauce on this pie is same kinda sauce as ‘That Italian Place’ in Brampton... so fresh ... so good ... one of the best pizzas we’ve had so far -> 8.2 that’s a review!
