Alright Frankie, where are we? Stamford CT, Remo’s. Decent pizza, alot’a New York flop, a little greasy because of the pepperoni but a decent pizza overall. Thicker crust then I usually like and could be cooked a little more well done, which dropped it out of the 7s. 6.2 Frankie, That’s a review!

While it doesn’t belong with the legendary New Haven pizza, Remo’s is probably near the top when it comes to Stamford pies. A very tasty balance of cheese and sauce, nice crisp with virtually no flop, crust is a little hard but not terrible. It’s about as solid of a pizza you can find in this part of Connecticut that isn’t New Haven.

Got two pies for the family. New York style cheese pie and Neapolitan pie pictured here with hot oil. Both pies had great cheese. Although the crust was slightly on thick side it was still very good and there was no flop. As others have noted, the sauce is slightly sweeter than I normally like. Next time I will get the New York style with hot oil. Remo’s is definitely one of the best options of pizza in Stamford. Neapolitan Score = 7.5. New York slice = 7.7

Normally a good lunch spot! Friday afternoon, slightly hungover, need something greasy in your system, sharing war stories from the night before and what you’re planning for the weekend. You can never go wrong with personal pie from remos any day of the week. Thin crust pizza, solid crisp sinking your teeth into the crust. Basil accents the pizza just right. Safe bet all the way.

No flop, solid crust...sweet sauce tho...interesting...kind of greasy.
