Pizza Review
Riccio’s “Pizza Villa” is one of Charlotte’s oldest restaurants. It probably had the best pie in town from 1962 through the early 2000’s but other places have caught up. Not traditional NY style and has a ton of cheese and grease with a somewhat doughy crust but the sauce is what sets it apart. This sauce is the best in town and packs a ton of savory flavor. I swear the pizza tastes the best once it’s cooled down a few minutes because you can taste more of the sauce and less of the hot grease and lava cheese.
