mr.mozzerella
Served Florida hot inn3-4 minutes with a tiny Teaneck crisp and a heavy Teaneck Road flop. For the $4.25, this has to knock your socks off to justify the cost.
First Bite Score: 1.2
The sauce is decent with ZERO salinity or seasoning. There is an overwhelming amount of oregano and it is very watery. The mozzarella is very low quality with no salinity, texture, body or chew. The dough is quite nice but this comically large slice doesn’t need this much mediocre dough. The ratio is way off with no item standing out or alone.
Sub Score : 0.6
SAUCE: boring, plain and subpar with no salt or seasoning. Balance the flavors and tighten up the consistency then you’ll have a good starting point to then address the other issues.
MOZZARELLA: absolutely pedestrian and straight up bad. It has a stale almost sour finish with ZERO salinity and a string-cheese-like texture that isn’t a bit pleasing.
DOUGH: actually one of the better dough recipes I’ve had so far, well seasoned, balanced and worked. It has decent gluten honeycombs and the undercarriage is decently cooked and slightly charred.
RATIO: off, off, OFF!!! imbalanced, skimpy with the cheese, heavy with the sauce and a way too large or a slice
Summary: after the first bite I wanted a refund and to apologize to my mouth and taste buds for what I have subjected them to. I’d give this a ZERO to match the amount of effort that went into making this pie. If you reading this, hopefully there’s time to RUN as fast and hard as you an in any direction, just not in the direction of their front door.
