The best bar pizza in Massachusetts. Full stop. Town Spa, Poopsies, and Lynwood can go climb a tree, as far as I’m concerned. Riverview is the goalpost. The crust here is so crisp, with just a hint of butteriness, giving it the most subtle aspect of a grilled cheese. The sauce is incredibly robust, and unlike any other bar pizza sauce that I’ve had. They will put the toppings underneath the cheese unless otherwise requested (which I love). I would travel days for this pie. It’s in the diviest of dive bars, with wood paneling EVERYWHERE. It’s charming af. They only take cash and are closed on Mondays. It’s unbelievable that a man like Pres, who considers himself a Northshore man and a Pizza man, has not reviewed Riverview. For shame. I almost don’t want him to review it, because I know once he does, the place will become more of a mob scene than it already is.
