Rizzo's Fine Pizza

Glorified school cafeteria pizza. Just an insane slice. And this was over 20$. I’m scared. Just no words.

Rizzo’s pizza is great! The square pie was amazing, and is better than the round one. The cheese at the center is interesting but the taste is great. I believe the square pie has just a bit more thickness to it than the round pie. Both are thin pizzas but the round was a bit too thin for my liking. The round pie is an 8.1. I’ll definitely be willing to buy Rizzo’s pizza again

Nope nope nope. I did not like this sauce at all. Way too cheesy.. and never thought I’d say this because I love thin crust pizza, but THIS CRUST IS TOO THIN. Basically like eating a ton of sauce and basic cheese on crackers. A total flop.

Going with rookie score on this one cause couldn’t decide between 7.9 and 8.1. Considering Dave’s review, was a bit disappointing. Good looking pie however was too floppy and the sauce was lacking and tasted a lot like oregano. 8 is obv a nice score but was hoping for more.

Not at all in agreement with Portnoy on this one.

Very good sauce. Crust was too thin for my liking.. if it was more doughy the score would easily be in the 8s

Great quality and atmosphere

Wanted the regular square but it wasn’t available. This slice had ricotta on top. Overall solid slice.

Really frickin crisp. Like a cracker. Great taste. Prez was right about this place.

Chewy soft bread-type crust. Average pizza.

Crust had a lot of lower east side rip. Whole thing ripped to shreds. Sauce has way too much oregano or something. Maybe had too high of expectations, because it really looks like it’s going to be great, but only an ok slice.

The slice looks super thin, but not as crispy as I thought. Resulted in a moderate New York Flop. Sauce is really good and full of flavor.

Shit picture but amazing pizza. Loved the thin crust and the cheese slice I had prior was stellar.

The crust is very thin and provides a satisfying crunch when biting into. The tomato sauce is robust and provides a majority of the flavor. The white slice me however has a large hint of garlic which is out of this world and an 8.8 by itself. However, the cheese slice is the standard for the one bite review, and due to the slight flop in the middle, it’s an 8.3.

Not sure if this is Sicilian or just square. Nice taste on the cheese, dough has good crunch, spicy sauce. I would go a few blocks to try it.

The original place is in Astoria. The regular has New York flop but a crispy crust. Tastes good. The square gets a 7.6 since I think it was a slice that was sitting out. Probably be a higher score if I had a fresher slice.

I had both the square and the round and liked both a lot. I like the thin crust and I love the sauce. The sauce is probably the best part. It’s delicious. Cheese is good, not great. Worth checking out, especially if you’re a thin crust fan.
