Romano's Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant

I was so excited to try this pizza based on the pictures but kind of disappointed. It’s ok, that’s about it. No where near Picas or Gaetano’s not even close. Upside down pizza was bland and the traditional was basic. Not terrible but not great.

The square pizza is absolute perfection. The sauce, cheese, crust and and crunch make this pie the best in the entire area. You’ll throw your Pica’s out the window after trying Romanos in Essington.

Sauce is bangin

I like the sauce. Disagree it’s better than picas though. Bolka back with the boys. Evvie not so much

Supposedly home of the first stromboli in America. Average at best pizza unfortunately.

Wtf no cheese? Crust is crispy and sauce is flavorful

Very dry pizza and crust. Taste a bit like Ellio’s pizza, but like if you left Ellio’s pizza out then re-heated it. This is the type of pizza where the dough is light, thick, and airy (dry) but the cheese is super heavy. Bad combo. Sauce is decent though. This place is known for their Stromboli sandwiches which are absolute fire. Stick to the Stromboli sandwich, skip the pie.
