Pizza Review
Chose to visit Rosa's while in Huntington Village and I got the regular and the vodka slice. The regular was a reheated slice, and it was pretty standard overall. The most notable trait of it was the good crisp and undercarriage. It offered a nice crunch and was not too dry, as is a fairly common point of failure. The cheese and sauce were pretty typical and nothing out of the ordinary. In terms of the quantity of each, there was just enough, but not enough to where sauce would come off the slice or cheese would be very stringy. Some may desire a little more cheese, but I think for a quick stop, it was just fine. There was also a bit of oil on the slice's surface, enough that it would run off when folded, so that may detract from the overall experience depending on your personal preferences. The regular slice receives a 7.4 for me; it was a generally prototypical pizza to be expected of NY and Long Island. As for the vodka slice, it tasted pretty good and offered a decent amount of mozzarella cheese, but was just very floppy, possibly just due to the length of the slice. Nonetheless, it was not crunchy, but overall was still a tasty slice of pizza. The vodka sauce was of good quality, which I appreciate. I'd give the vodka slice a 7.5; if you like Italian dishes with vodka sauce, you would most likely enjoy this slice.
