New Haven gets the headlines but Roseland might be better than them. Sooo tasty and perfect amount of crispiness.

My 100th review, a tad disappointing. It wasn’t ask crispy as I like it, and a little dry. Maybe that was the 17 minute drive home. It is a gorgeous looking pizza though...

Really good pizza. Crisp. Really good sauce. Delicious slightly smokey flavor from the coal oven. A little more salt would have pushed it higher. All slightly light on flavor.

Heaven in a pizza. The highlight of our quarantine month or 2 or 3 who' still counting 🤔🤣❤️

Ok. Roseland is in my Top 3 with Modern and Zuppardis. With that said, I go to Roseland specifically for seafood pies. Those in the market price category. Something about the flavor of their sauce with seafood just knocks it out the park for me. Also love the white pies as well. This I believe is the first time I have ever gotten a plain. A tad oily, good crisp, well done, great flavor as usual.

As all of my followers know, I take my pizza scores as easily as a naked man on a crane. I have two scales for pizza rankings: one for thin crust and one for thick crust. Roseland did me a little dirty. I was expecting it to be good but nowhere near as good as it was. Cheese was cooked well done and the bread was crunchy as a monkey. Sauce had a nice tang as well. Makes me want to get some more very soon...

It does not get much better than this. 9’s all day long for this place. Thank you Roseland pizza for existing!

Roseland lived up to the hype. Great pizza! Perfectly thin and crispy crust, good sauce, and the right amount of cheese. I loved the no-frills atmosphere. Electrical tape on the chairs was classic. One would never think such a great pizza place would be tucked away in Derby. Sorry Derby residents.

Well done pizza right here. Not doughy, sauce is a little sweet but it is king among the lesser pizzas in the area. They've been around since '35, I get it. Try 'em they are worth the trip to Derby, Ct.

The long wait was worth it. Flop and some grease, but the taste and the crust make it worth traveling for.

Love this place. Pizza was on point as always. I really liked their pepperoni. My son got the lobster ravioli and it was ridiculous! A full lobster tail on top.

I’ve been here over 100 times in my life so lot to say on this one. The meatball is probably the best you’ll ever have with the garlic combining really well. Score would be higher solely for the meatball but the cheese brings it down. Cheese is a little too oily and often has clumps of tomato- no comparison to the meatball which is odd. Poor man’s pie is also solid. Service is straightforward and they really don’t care about your nitpicking: it is what it is and you can leave if you want because they have tons of business since 1935 Chicken parm is phenomenal as is he bread it is served with. If you like side salads heavy on oil and vinegar with fresh carrots- your place for that too. Enjoy.

Got the Roseland special (sausage and mushrooms) It was delicious, love the char on the crust but was a little bit thicker than I was anticipating

Average pizza at best when compared to the staples around CT. The crust has no taste. The bottom of pie is soft and soggy. The sauce is above average. Cheese is good.
