Pizza Review
It’s not often I review anything other than a plain cheese pizza but this specialty pie was so good, I had to include it to give a fair overall score. Starting with the round traditional cheese pizza: somewhat thin dough, mostly crispy, very tasty with incredibly crispy crust. A little heavy on the cheese and a little too much grease but I’m willing to overlook that because the sauce is outstanding. Sweet, zesty & delicious sauce, could definitely use a little more in the middle of the pie. But overall, very good pizza...7.3 score. Now for the Ozone Rosa square pie, also known as a “Drunken Grandma Pie,” it’s basically a Sicilian style pizza with vodka sauce. This pie is BURSTING with flavor: the sauce is so creamy and delectable with the perfect amount of spice and kick. The dough is thicker but surprisingly fluffy, hilighted by a perfectly crispy crust. The smooth layer of mozzarella underneath the sauce is outstanding. This is one of the best specialty pies I’ve ever had. The only area that could improve slightly is the dough but overall I’m going with a 9.3, which means this joint gets an 8.3 if you split the difference and is well worth a try.
