Russo's New York Pizzeria & Italian Kitchen - Polk St

Webster’s dictionary defines flop as Russo’s, but to be fair I did order it with all the confetti. I’d have to try it again but just plain cheese or pepperoni. I feel like I’d have to request “crispy” to have just enough flop for it not be too doughy.

One bite, everybody knows the rules. I really wanted to like this slice more than I actually did. First off, it’s a gimmick pizza. The size of the slice is so big you can’t eat it with one hand. Second, the bottom could’ve been cooked more. A LOT more. It’s not crisp whatsoever; just soft, almost soggy, and flopping in the wind. The flavor was fine, but texturally it was just not there. This probably could’ve been more than a full point higher if it was cooked properly.
