Russo's New York Pizzeria - Clearwater

I was planning on stopping my reviews after 4 of the Clearwater NY pizza places but I still haven't discovered the ultimate best slice yet, and people are recognizing me locally for my last reviews. 1. Obviously from the picture, a bit burnt, along with being very dried out. 2. Totally over priced for a slice of pizza at $4.55. 3. I could give them some slack because maybe there aren't many people ordering slices here at dinner hour, but man, it was a total train wreck. 4. My rating is 4.2 ( lowest score yet!)

Slices have great size, lots of flip, but great crispy and charred crust

It seems the dough doesn’t get cooked. I even tried to put in the oven at home but there was no results. And they make it on a screen. Crust tasted like bread.

Very underwhelming. Sauce is an acquired sweet taste, very floppy, zero crunch even on the crust, almost undercooked.

Went gluten free. Might have made an effect. Fresh toppings.

Very big slice. A lot of flop due to the size. It’s also pretty greasy. But good crispy crust, and decent sauce and cheese. Just a straight good slice but nothing to write home to. 6.8 and that’s a review.

Massive slice..massive. Big flop, but mainly because of the size of the slice. Solid football pizza. Nothing to write home about, but a good overall slice.
