When you walk into Rusty’s you think a glass has shattered when the door slams shut and that it won’t ever open again. It’s a dingy little place in the greater Albany area. I think this place peaked in 2011 since this is when all their pizza competition participation trophies are from. I sympathize for the people of Watervilet since this is probably the best pizza around. ANYWAY, I expected very little upon first glance. The only pizza on display was a single cheese pizza that looked like it hadn’t been touched in days. I must say I was pleasantly surprised, though. The cheese had a nice flavor and the undercarriage had a good mouth feel even though the slice was droopier than my grandpa’s flaccid penis (may he rest In peace). I was delighted by the crunch of the crust of the first slice, but by the time I reached the second crust I realized it was just stale and the first was just warm. All in all, don’t come to this place for the ambiance…or the pizza. Just don’t come here.
